Buying a home care franchise can be a life-changing decision — one that allows you to become your own boss, achieve your long-term financial goals, and give back to your community.

At Senior Helpers Canada, we know how important this decision can be. Our process for buying a franchise gives candidates the chance to learn about our franchise opportunities in depth, while also allowing candidates to sign a franchise agreement in a matter of weeks.

Below, we’ll walk you through some of the steps that you will go through as you seek to buy a Senior Helpers home care franchise.

After contacting our team, we’ll schedule an introductory call. During this call, you’ll learn more about our available territories throughout Canada, our process for approving new owners, and the investment required for a Senior Helpers franchise. At the same time, we’ll discuss your personal goals for franchise ownership and how Senior Helpers aligns with these objectives.

After your initial call, we’ll invite you to join us for a Concept Discussion to learn more about the Senior Helpers brand and our franchise offering.

This may take place over one or a series of webinars hosted by a Senior Helpers franchise development specialist. During this time, you’ll learn more about:

  • Our company’s history, mission, and values
  • What makes the home care industry so attractive to entrepreneurs
  • How Senior Helpers stands apart in the Canadian home care market
  • What makes Senior Helpers a uniquely strong franchise offering
  • Training and Operational Support to start and manager your franchise
  • Marketing and IT systems and support to help drive new business

Following the Concept Discussion, you will receive a copy of the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD).

Before buying your home care franchise, we encourage you to contact other owners in the Senior Helpers franchise family. This will give you the opportunity to hear directly from franchisees about what to expect with a franchise. It also gives you the chance to ask questions about the investment, the opening process, and the day-to-day work of managing a franchise.

The final step of the Discovery Process is “Meet the Team Day.” Once candidates have been approved, they are invited to visit with our team virtually or in-person at our corporate headquarters. Candidates attend meetings with key members of our executive team, where they will receive a comprehensive overview of each department.

Once all parties have agreed to move forward, the candidate is awarded the franchise and signs the franchise agreement to purchase.

At that point, you can begin training and start preparing to open your franchise!
